The Grey Voice reflects on the notion of drawing rather than simply being a collection of drawings. Its title is suggestive of the ‘greyness’ of dust, ash, smoke, clouds and shadows as well as the ephemeral and elusive qualities of drawing. It avoids the rules of most drawing shows which permit only unique works on paper. The exhibition teases out the relationship between the drawn, the written and the uttered.
