SUBMISSION

Articles should be both within the scope of the journal and be interactive in both content and readership. Articles are presented as interactive multimedia web pages. Authors are encouraged to exploit the web technology, to remove linearity constraints. Innovative forms of expressing research, and/or linking members of the scientific community, are expected. The journal is intended to be informative of the authors' original contribution to design computing and to make an effective use of multimedia. Conventional paper-based articles converted to HTML are not appropriate.

Clear, comprehensible, compact and high quality presentation are expected. These features will be used as criteria in the review process. Articles may contain any combination of text, tables, graphics, animation, or audio component. The length of the article is difficult to specify, but the articles are expected to be the equivalent of a six page magazine article.

Authors initially are requested to submit a URL to their paper, using the online submission form. If the paper is accepted, the authors will be required to submit a compressed archive of all the files comprising the final version of the paper, for publication on the IJDC web server, and as part of the annual IJDC CD-Rom. For this purpose, the paper should use relative hyperlinks wherever possible, and should not rely on server-side processing like CGI, PHP, Cold Fusion, etc.

Articles will be reviewed by the editors and three referees. The decision of the editors and the referees' reviews will be returned by email.

COPYRIGHT

The submission of an article to IJDC implies that the author certifies that neither the article nor any of its parts is copyrighted or currently under review for any journal or conference proceedings. If the article, any portion of it, or any other version of it, has appeared, or is scheduled to appear in another publication of any kind, the details of such publication must be made known to the editors at the time of submission. Authors of accepted papers will need to sign a copyright transfer form to transfer copyright of the configuration of files to the Journal. Copyright of individual files remains with the authors.

EXTERNAL LINKS

The above copyright notice does not apply to the incorporation of pointers to publicly available network sources. For example, an article may contain hypertextual pointers to architectural items on the network, to other IJDC articles, or to bibliographies available on the net. External links may be incorporated into the text or in the reference list. Authors may also wish to add a list of related Internet resources at the end of the article. Unfortunately, many networked resources are ephemeral. Authors should assume responsibility for using "fresh" and long-living pointers.

REFERENCE STYLE

The academic citation style used in IJDC follows the Harvard "in-text" style of referencing. Authors are encouraged to use HTML pointer structure to online reference lists, for example:
