The Hearth is conveniently located in the Wilkinson Building, Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning, The University of Sydney. Access is either from Maze crescent at the rear of the building or directly from 148 City Road. It consists of a large open space (approximately 200sqm) bounded by the Tin Sheds Gallery, The Faculty's Student Administration Services, The Atrium (75sqm), Artos Espresso Café, and the courtyard (100sqm). The Atrium space can be hired in conjunction with The Hearth at an additional cost for non-Faculty events.
The Hearth consists of a floor space and two pin-up spaces on either side of the Tin Sheds Gallery. The Atrium can be hired in addition to The Hearth and consists of a floor space and extra pin-up space.
The large open area has a maximum capacity of about 100 people (standing 70 ideal, maximum 100). Capacity would be reduced depending upon placement of displays and/or furniture.
